NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS
The City of Bristol will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the following project:
Bristol CDBG – NR Neal Subdivision Waterline Replacement
This project consists of the replacement of an existing 2” waterline with a 6” PVC waterline along 1st Street, 2nd Street, 3rd Street, 4th Street, 1st Avenue and 2nd Avenue in Bristol, Florida.
Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. For questions, please contact Noah Byler at (850) 272-4276 or nbyler@dewberry.com. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.
Completion date for this project will be 150 days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.
Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $500.00 per day.
Submittal responses shall be provided electronically via DemandStar at: https://www.demandstar.com in Adobe PDF electronic format. Submittals must be received via DemandStar no later than August 31, 2026 at 4:30 pm EST. No proposal will be accepted after the established deadline. The City will not be responsible for any delays related to the electronic submission of proposals.
The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.
Cost for Plans and Specifications will be $50.00 per set and is non-refundable. Checks should be made payable to DEWBERRY ENGINEERS INC. Digital sets are available at no charge.
The City of Bristol reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in their best interest. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.
RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION
Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the City may not request documentation of or consider a vendor’s social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
