NOTICE TO RECEIVE SEALED BIDS

April 27, 2026

The City of Bristol will receive sealed bids from any qualified person, company or corporation interested in providing construction services for the following project:

Bristol CDBG – DR SR 20 Sidewalk & Pedestrian Light Improvements

This project includes removing and replacing existing sections of sidewalk and driveways along SR 20. New welcome signs on SR 20 (eastbound and westbound) and SR 12, new sidewalk light poles throughout the SR 20 corridor will also be constructed as well as a sidewalk replacement along CR 12 South.

Plans and specifications can be obtained at Dewberry Engineers Inc., 20684 Central Avenue East, Blountstown, Florida 32424. The bid must conform to Section 287.133(3) Florida Statutes, on public entity crimes.

Completion date for this project will be 210 calendar days from the date of the Notice to Proceed presented to the successful bidder.

Liquidated damages for failure to complete the project on the specified date will be set at $200.00 per day.

Please indicate on the envelope that this is a sealed bid, for “Bristol CDBG – DR/SR 20 Sidewalk & Pedestrian Light Improvements”.

Bids will be received until 4:00 PM (EST) on _Thursday, May 28, 2026_ at the Bristol City Hall, 12444 NW Virginia G. Weaver St, Bristol, FL 32321 or P.O. Box 207, and will be opened and read aloud on Thursday, May 28, 2026_ at 4:00 PM (EST).

The Bid will be awarded to the lowest responsive bidder.

The City of Bristol reserves the right to waive informalities in any bid, to accept and/or reject any or all bids, and to accept the bid that in their judgment will be in their best interest. All Bids shall remain firm for a period of sixty days after the opening. All bidders shall comply with all applicable State and local laws concerning licensing registration and regulation of contractors doing business to the State of Florida.

RESPONSIBLE VENDOR DETERMINATION

Respondent is hereby notified that Section 287.05701, Florida Statutes, requires that the County may not request documentation of or consider a vendor’s social, political, or ideological interests when determining if the vendor is a responsible vendor.
